Dr Thomas McCulloch, came ashore in 1805 and soon found himself leading a monumental change in the lives of 19thcentury Nova Scotians.

This is the official site for the McCulloch House Museum Genealogy Centre. We are an archive and research centre that specializes in Scottish immigration to Northern Nova Scotia and the settlement of Pictou County. Between June October, the McCulloch House Museum is open for tours. The Museum is the home of Dr. Thomas McCulloch, circa 1805, the founder principal of Pictou Academy, Presbyterian Minister, author, political activist, ornithologist and first President of Dalhousie University.
